okay real update

so this winter quarter is going by very quickly. its already week 5! i just had a criminology midterm last night so hopefully i did well. im aiming to get 2 a's and a b this quarter because i need to do well in order to get the commander's leadership scholarship from rotc. other than school, ive been working at the bookstore. i work about 8-10 hours a week which isnt bad at all compared to my crazy schedule last year when i was working 2 jobs. now that i look back, i dont know how i even managed to work 25+ hours a week, go to school, and do pi phi. i mustve had superpowers (or coffee... lots of it) as for rotc, its starting to get really tough. this semester we're getting ready for field training this summer (which is boot camp) so theres a lot of training involved - marching, commands, leadership, general military knowledge, customs and courtesies, just to name a few... im joining arnold air society this semester so i can get more involved with the detachment and get further training. hopefully i can handle everything!

things with ari are really good right now. its been 4 months since we got back together in september and the fire is still burning :) hes such a great guy, so caring, considerate, makes me feel like im his princess and he adores me tehehe. it just sucks that we can only see eachother on weekends. we seriously spoiled ourselves over winter break by seeing eachother every day. its weird how whenever im with him i feel like theres nothing to worry about, and once he leaves (or i go back to irvine) i feel stressed and really unhappy with the fact that we're so far away from eachother. i guess im really attached >_< there goes independent woman helen!

ive been working out every day to get myself ready for the pfa (physical fitness assessment) coming up this feb 12. its basically a physical test where i have to do sit ups for 1 min, push ups for 1 min, and a 1.5 mile run. my goal is to score at least a 90 out of 100 because last semester i got an 88 and this score is especially important because it will be put on my field training application (and plus, i get a ribbon to put on my blues shirt if i score a 90+)
